Gemma plays the vital role of handling the Film Office’s back-of-house functions that make the whole team tick, ensuring policies are being followed and that everyone has exactly what they need to do their jobs. As the other Yorkshire import on the team, Gemma enjoys the welcoming, culture-rich identity of her adopted hometown, particularly its abundance of live music venues and cinemas (although, she does prefer to watch more laid back and fun films at home and saves the more intense watches for the cinema). Gemma finds satisfaction in the positive changes the team have made to the film and TV industry in the region – particularly the success of developing careers through LFO’s collaboration with the BFI.
