LCR Production Fund: Coronavirus Update – 26 March 2020

In these unprecedented times as COVID-19 creates uncertainty for us all, we wanted to let you know how the Liverpool City Region Production Fund will operate over the coming weeks.

Expressions of Interest

We will continue to accept online Expressions of Interests (EOI) and are able to respond to your EOI enquires by email and telephone as usual.

Full Application

If you’re about to or have already submitted a full application to us, we’ll continue to process your application and will communicate with you via email and telephone during this time. We understand that COVID-19 has thrown a large spanner in some applicants’ financing, packaging and production plans – particularly those intending to shoot in the
Spring and Summer –  and that things will likely remain fluid for the foreseeable future. Please do keep us regularly updated on your changing circumstances as we want to be as responsive and supportive as possible.

Funding Decisions

Whilst we’ll endeavour to complete our assessments and recommendations quickly, it may
take longer than the timeframes indicated in our guidelines due to the above uncertainty as well as the continuing health and availability of our staff, external assessors and Investment Committee members. Again, we’ll feedback to you regularly as to progress and timings at our end so that you stay fully informed.

This too shall pass and we look forward to the Fund playing its part in helping to
reboot film/TV production in the UK when the time comes.
