Extended ‘Fast & Furious 6’ Trailer Premieres At Super Bowl 2013
An extended trailer for for ‘Fast & Furious 6’ has been released online after a 60 second clip from the car chase sequel was premiered during the Super Bowl on Sunday (Feb 3).
The trailer adds over two minutes of previously unseen footage and includes a closer look at brand new character Jessica ‘JJ’ Jameson, played by ‘Haywire’ star Gina Carano.
The trailer also features Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Ludacris, who have all reprised their roles from previous films in the series, and British actor Luke Evans, who joins the cast as a villain called Owen Shaw.
‘Fast & Furious 6′ was partly shot in Liverpool last year (2012) with location including water Street and the Queensway (Birkenhead) Tunnel.
Earlier this month (February 2013), an official plot synopsis was released by Universal Pictures. It reveals the usual F&F crew reunite to thwart a criminal outfit led by Luke Evans’ Owen Shaw character. If successful, the gang will earn their pardons and be able to return safely to their families.
The eagerly-anticipated movie opens in cinemas worldwide on May 24. The five previous F&F films came out between 2001 and 2011 and collectively grossed over $1.5 billion (£950 million) worldwide.
